How to set up chaosblade, step by step
Open PowerShell — press Win, type PowerShell, and press Enter — then paste the command and press Enter.
Run chaosblade --help to see the available commands, and
chaosblade --version to confirm the install worked. If your shell complains about
permissions, that project usually documents a corrected command on its own site.
This asks PowerShell to download a small installer script from the project, then execute it in memory. Nothing is saved to disk. The script is the project's own, but it's worth reading it first — that's why there's a note above.
What chaosblade does
- Basic resources: such as CPU, memory, network, disk, process and other experimental scenarios
- C ++ applications: such as specifying arbitrary methods or experimental lines of code injection delay, tampering with variables and return values
- A target namespace with at least one running Pod (default: )
- The chaosblade CLI toolkit downloaded and extracted (the binary is on your )
- container: such as killing the container, the CPU in the container, memory, network, disk, process and other experimental scenarios
- The chaosblade-operator deployed to your cluster (required for Kubernetes scenarios)
